The Lagottos history is both rich and facinating . In relation to our breeding philosophy we believe that the        

Lagotto is a highly intelligent Dog who must be housed in a loving , stable environment . We DO NOT house dogs in kennels outside ,  and offer them a farm life sleeping with us in the house and although our puppies start training outdoors in a pen from 4-12 weeks for their safe being , our dogs are then free to roam around our property and enjoy a wonderful life. For example swiming in dams , running in padocks etc .                                

When we are to breed the Lagotto , we feel we must do our very best to honour the history and pioneers of the Lagotto to Australia  -

Margaret Giles (Tartufo-Finish imports), followed by Rena Henderson(Azzuronastro-Italian import) whilst aiming to

improve this beautiful breed further to the best of our ability. We do all relevant health tests on our dogs before breeding HD fREE bitches and provide our results online for all to see. We test for JE through Genoscoper ,Finland and cannot have sick pups .  Please feel free to ask us any further questions

On a personal note , we are a family of 6 who live in the Fluerieu Peninsular , South Australia on land that was by

occupied for many thousands of years by the indigenous peoples called the Ngarrindjeri .

The last South Australian man from the Tangani clan initiated in 1900 was called Milerum (Clarence Long ) . A video of

Milerum is in the Adelaide Museum from the 1900's  showing where he resided along the Coorong ( the sea views left

in the picture below) teaching of his traditional practices and  makng extensive fishing nets, tools  and other things.

Eleanor our daughter ( in the main photo with Millie) is a descendant (Great, great great grand daughter). 

Our family is multicutural and we are made up of a mixture of Danish, Aboriginal, Scotish,

English ,French, Irish, Chinese decendants who believe in 'World Peace' andcultural diversity and respect.

We strive for  excellence in all areas of our lives and  are attempting to live in an environmentally sustainable way. For

example,we have a'Stand Alone' Wind power and Solarpanels , and all house /waste water is recycled into the garden.
