Attention all lagotto lovers, Australias NEW National Lagotto online club called OZgottos (Yahoo) was recently started up by NSW Lagotto fancier and expert , group modertor Cathy Ashurst ( experienced in Lagotto Agility/flyball/Endurance/Obedience , Exhibiting ) .This wonderful group is free for all to join through Yahoo and provides an online support group (Q&A) , fo pup experiences, photo sharing, links, development topics-puppy class and much more. Lagottostar provides the highest level of care for all our animals who are farm and house raised on ample acerage .

We do all relevant and current testing on all breeding dogs to ensure the resultant happiest and healthiest offspring, including both  Pennhip, AVA hip scores , eye testing, recently Je testing abroad (Finland) & using tested (clear)imported stud dogs. Fortunately thanks to Genoscoper having successfully mapped the gene (autosomal mode of transfer), testing ensures NO Lagotto pup in Australia can be born sick with the Juvenille Epilepsy illness (experienced  aged 6-12 weeks) . Although Genoscoper's recent  extensive research and understanding  is still young in it's establishment ( couple of years & recent comapany change) they currently provide testing for all Australian breeders (swabs via Finland) , ensuring the ethical management and improvement of this rare breed within Australia, (& throughout the globe),  when subsequently adopting selective breeding and testing practices.

We are grateful to our Lagotto friends who have helped us with all aspect of breeding this year and endeavor to promote regular updates and accurate breed information through the S.A Lagotto social club and our Health/Info links page .
